The holiday season is just around the corner, and we’re thrilled to invite you to the Annual Hometown Christmas Parade in the Downtown Dewey District! Join us on Saturday, December 6 for an evening filled with Christmas cheer, community spirit, and festive fun.

Parade Details

Theme: Hometown Christmas

Parade Start: 6:00 PM

Lineup: Begins at 4:00 PM at Carl Albert State College

Pre-Parade Entertainment: 5:30 PM on Dewey Avenue

Float Awards: Presented before the parade begins

Families, local businesses, organizations, and youth groups are all invited to participate. Whether you’re entering a float, walking with your group, or joining us as a spectator, come help us celebrate the magic of the season in the heart of Poteau—complete with twinkling lights, joyful music, and smiling faces.

Santa Policy (Important):
To keep the Christmas magic alive for every child, only the official City of Poteau Santa—escorted by the Poteau Fire Department—will appear in the parade.
