The Poteau Chamber of Commerce offers a variety of services for its member businesses.
Among them are:
MEETING ROOM: The chamber will provide a room for in-house meetings or training for member businesses and organizations.
INFORMATION BUREAU: The Chamber provides maps, Phone books, economic/demographic profiles, club & organization listings and information on the county, state and country. The Chamber conducts quality of life surveys of interest to local businesses.
BUSINESS ADVERTISING: New Chamber members are given an opportunity to do one-time advertising in the monthly newsletter, which is mailed to over 300 local, and area business decision makers.
WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS: Periodic workshops and seminars of topics of interest to small business owners, i.e. taxes, state and federal law, workers’ compensation, business trends, marketing, management and labor market information.
MEMBERSHIP MAILING LIST: The Chamber can provide a concise mailing list of its membership. The list is free to chamber members. Mailing labels can be purchased at a small fee to members.
RIBBON CUTTINGS: The Chamber provides ribbon cutting service, which includes photo coverage in the local newspaper and the Chamber’s monthly newsletter.
REFERRALS: The Chamber office averages over 1,000 inquiries about area businesses each month. The Chamber never hesitates to refer Chamber business members.
SITES: A current listing of available industrial and commercial sites for rent or sale is available through the chamber office.
AVAILABLE HOUSING: The Chamber office has a current listing of available rental property, which is provided to newcomers.
LEGISLATIVE ISSUES: The Chamber offers its members a timely overview of new and/or pending legislation that would affect small businesses.
